Jab!!

Corgan had is MMR injection today...he was such a brave little boy...the most heartbreaking think about the injections is the face he pulls just before he cries :( its like he can't believe that the sister has just hurt him like that...like "How could you do that"...so sad...Corgan now weighs 7,3kg...that means he's gained 600g in the last month...before that he had only gained 1kg over three months...

After the injection we went to say hello to Dr Nagel and his staff - he was out though....then we went across to the hospital and greeted all the security, cafe staff etc along the way to the NICU...Only Candice, Sindi and Nokuthula were there, the rest of the staff were new...We visited labour ward and then maternity ward where Dot was working!!  Dot was the midwife when Corgan was born and she has not been working any of the times we have visited since he was discharged!!!

On The Go!

Corgan "cruised" around his play pen four times today...he has been a bit grumpy and wouldn't have a nap...he looks so tired...his second tooth looks like its about to come through the gum...

There's no place like home...

Today Corgan has been home for one whole year...The NICU days seem forever away now....I do not miss them one bit!  He is crawling nicely now....he loves pulling himself up on everything...He claps his hands...and shakes his head for "No"...

Check up....

We can see Corgan's tooth properly now...Corgan had a check up with Dr Egner today. He weighs 6,7kg and he is 70cm long now. Dr Egner is very happy with everything. He says Corgan is catching up quite nicely now...Corgan's tooth is a bit yellowish but Dr Egner said its from medication used when he was in hospital...he said it might be just a few of them or it could be all of them but his adult teeth should be fine....

I Spy With My Little Eye

Corgan's first tooth is finally making an appearance!!!! I thought he was never going to get teeth...lol...It doesn't look very white though...Today is also one year since his hernia repair operation...no sign of recurrence :)

First cold at home!

Corgan has been sick since new years eve...his nose is very snotty, he is coughing, is temp has been up and down...he is very miserable, he wakes up crying a lot...I phoned Dr Egner on New Years eve...he told me what meds to get and told me to phone him back if Corgan gets worse...Yesterday I was a bit concerned because his cough is very chesty...he vomitted up a big chunk of phlegm...he even choked on it a little...I phoned Dr Egner's rooms to make an appointment but he is fully booked today, so I spoke to him on the phone...he said to continue with the medication and to watch for any changes of colour of the phlegm (it was clearish white) and that if Corgan was still cough and unwell on Monday he wants to see him...Today he is much better...he has been cheerful and playing and his cough sounds like it is clearing up!
